About the Role
We are looking for an experienced AI/ML Team Lead to guide a team building high-impact ML and AI systems.
You'll be responsible for leading and growing a team of ML engineers, setting technical direction, and making sure the team delivers solutions that work in production. You’ll also stay hands-on with the technical work, so deep practical knowledge of ML and AI is essential. If you enjoy helping engineers do their best work and turning complex ML challenges into clear plans, this role is for you.
What You'll Do
Lead, mentor, and support a team of 6-8 ML engineers, fostering their technical and professional growth.
Define technical direction and priorities for ML and AI initiatives, balancing quality, speed, and business impact.
Guide the design and delivery of ML and AI systems, from training and experimentation to deployment and monitoring in production.
Review technical decisions, architectures, and code to ensure high-quality and best engineering practices.
Act as a bridge between the ML team and other teams (backend, data, product), as well as English-speaking stakeholders.
Promote best practices in MLOps, documentation, and team processes.
What We're Looking For
4+ years of professional experience in Machine Learning or AI engineering.
Proven experience leading or mentoring engineers.
Strong foundations in ML and hands-on experience with ML systems in production.
Familiarity with modern AI and LLM-based solutions (RAG, LLM-powered applications, or similar).
Ability to translate business needs into technical plans and communicate trade-offs clearly.
Strong communication skills and advanced English proficiency (written and spoken) — you'll be working directly with English-speaking stakeholders.
Nice to Have
Experience with Python and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and MLOps tooling.
Experience hiring or building ML teams.
Interest in keeping up with the latest ML and AI research.
